David 7-2023 Hummingbird Cabin
The Hummingbird Cabin is a truly peaceful retreat, surrounded by a wooded area with well-marked walking trails. The cabin is spotlessly clean, with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and excellent showers. From the front deck, you can relax right next to where hummingbirds feed, wild turkeys forage, woodpeckers and finches, and other species perch on the trees around you, and curious deer walk by. Ramsey Canyon Preserve is just up the road, and abuts a national forest with many hiking trails. Wine country, and the town of Sierra Vista are all close by. We came for a two day getaway, to escape the heat of the lower desert, and here, at an elevation of about 5,000 feet, the temperatures were cooler, and the shade was welcome! Our hosts were very gracious and helpful. We will be back!

Ramsey Canyon Cabins is in an incredible location and such a relaxing get away. My husband and I have stayed here three weekends in the last year and always enjoy the peacefulness of the secluded shady gorgeous property, the wild turkeys, deer, hummingbirds and wandering the trails. The cabin is cozy and has everything you need for cooking and a great porch for wildlife watching. The mini split cooled the cabin perfectly and the bed is so comfortable! We really love escaping the city to relax in the canyon and will definitely be back again. Thank you so much for sharing this special place!!!

My wife and I had a great time. We’ve stayed in the Hummingbird Cabin a number of times, starting with the previous property owners. The new owners have made a number of nice improvements so the place is better than ever. We are bird and wildlife lovers and we always enjoy our stays here

Our second stay and we can’t wait to visit again. We stayed at the Hummingbird Cabin, which is very comfortable with its two bedrooms and two baths. We came with our 92-year old mom who loves seeing the active hummingbirds, the daily visit from the deer, and the variety of birds.
With the view of the mountain side, the trails and the wildlife - it reminds us of a mini Zion. The trails are secluded and easy - our mom did a walk with no problems. The trails have a creek that runs along side adding to the tranquility of the path. If you’re looking for a relaxing and calming escape from the weekly 9-5 grind, you’re sure to find it here.

This place is a real gem. The hosts Jen and Greg are committed to making your stay enjoyable. The Hummingbird Cabin was spotless, well-equipped, well-furnished, cozy and comfortable. On the property, there are well-marked trails along a creek (running) and hills that provide views of the canyon. Wildlife is abundant with a flock of turkeys and deer. The bird variety (I'm a birder) is surprising and the trail-system allows one to explore. the porch is a delight with a multitude of hummingbirds visiting the feeders. My only regret is not having booked more nights.

This place is quaint and peaceful. If you are coming from a city, your restlessness will melt away as you step into nature - hummingbird feeders and trails run throughout the property - but this experience doesn’t come without creature comforts. The cabins are cozy, feeling like stepping into a place that exudes character and relaxation, not like a normal hotel room that feels sterile. You are close to some of the best hiking and birdwatching in the area - seeing a violet-crowned hummingbird and elf owl on the property was a real treat. The couple who maintain the property are the sweetest ever. They genuinely care that the experience you have is a memorable one. All of this comes at the price of an average hotel room. The trails are friendly for people of all ages, everything is clean, and the interior is high quality. Staying here is a no brainer. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks Jen and Greg!
